As an intern therapist from the Clinical Mental Health Program at UW-Stout, I take a person-centered approach to counseling. I desire to connect with each client and to build trust within our relationship. Trust, I believe, is crucial for change to occur within the client. That is why I will work hard at creating a safe and trusting environment where my clients can explore within, be challenged and move through the process of achieving improved mental health. Each individual’s counseling experience and process is unique and their own, it looks different for everybody. I value each individual experience and use a variety of tools to meet the needs of each client. I use mainly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with other approaches as fits the client. I have an interest in seeing clients experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions/adjustment, parenting challenges, grief/loss, mood disorders, personality disorders, sexuality/body image issues, crisis, trauma and abuse. I see children, adolescents and adults. I am a member of the American Counseling Association.
